Job Description

Veolia’s Vice President for Government Markets is a leadership position responsible for driving market and opportunity growth through public policy tools including regulation, permitting, legislation, grants and incentives. This leader will work across Veolia’s lines of business to identify high impact opportunities to support growth, and will take a hand-on approach to assemble and manage project teams to drive strategy and execution.

Responsibilities
The Vice President for Government Markets is a proven results-driven leader with a deep understanding of how public policy tools can enhance profitability, drive project opportunities, and grow the market for new products and services. S/he will bring expertise and insight from both the public and private sectors to deliver a government markets program with a measurable financial return.

Job of Vice President for Government Markets is to:
•Partner with existing operations and lines of business to identify high-impact opportunities.
•Ongoing evaluation of current and new growth drivers to enhance profitability and growth.
•Build relationships and represent Veolia with key government decision-makers.
•Timely and actionable market and business intelligence to sales and operations.
•Permitting, regulation and incentives for existing and target Veolia assets.
•Lead strategy for local, state, federal policy program with clear financial results.
•Partner with outside industry organizations to advance Veolia’s business objectives.
•Grow the markets and deliver on support for Veolia’s strategic priority projects.

Job Requirements

Experience and Education Required

•Master’s degree in Business or related field.
•20 years of industry experience in relevant energy or environmental business. Governmental or P3 (public-private partnership) experience a plus.
•Bottom-line driven, with proven, direct sales and business development leadership experience .
•Strong leadership, analytical, strategy, negotiation and organizational skills.
•Team player with ability to lead and motivate others.
•External market orientation with excellent written, verbal and presentation skills.
•Comfortable acting as company spokesperson in a variety of business and public settings.
