Job Summary:

The Director, Global Market Research and Analytics – Oncology is responsible to lead and oversee the Global Market Research and Analytics – Oncology function where the functional staff, including this position as a playing manager, provides strategic insights and actionable recommendation to global brand teams and other internal stakeholders for oncology products by integrating all findings through primary market research, analytics and competitive intelligence.


  • Lead and oversee Global Market Research and Analytics – Oncology team to ensure full support of Brand teams, NPP function and regions:
  • Recruit , develop and retain people with analytical / market research skills
  • Establish and maintain high quality interactions with different stakeholders of the Global Team as well as with key regions and markets
  • Robust vendors selection in a consistent manner to meet quality expectation in a timely manner
  • Build platform and develop processes to meet expectations of the Global Oncology Model needs on Market research/Customer insight, Forecasting Excellence and Competitive Intelligence
  • Establish solid bonds with all stakeholders in the cross functional team as well as with regions
  • Oversee and manage Market Research and Customer insight capability:
  • Provide an annual market research and customer plan for each brands and assets to meet the expectation of brand lead & NPP function
  • Guide the design, execution and communication of primary global market research and secondary analytics in support of Oncology products.
  • Develop reports and presentations with actionable recommendations for Oncology products that provide direction to global brand teams and marketing management to support all brand development work and launch plan
  • Develop and track brand performance metrics to be measured at global level before and after launch including competitor performance
  • Oversee and Manage Forecasting excellence:
  • Build and develop the new “ forecasting excellence “ center to support forecast from DP1 to commercialization for all asset in oncology
  • Develop consistent approach between assets and models that could capture potential synergy or cannibalization between assets
  • Interact with Brand leader and region to develop a set of assumptions that will get a full alignment
  • Provide sales forecast consolidation for the totality of the oncology franchise
  • Oversee and Manage Competitive Intelligence:
  • Propose model to elevate CI capability in oncology in alignment with Brand Leaders
  • Provide insight to the 5 year plan on Assets / Franchise competitive situation
  • Provide insights to the 10 years plan on major trends that will after oncology markets including assets , new MOA , biomarker, emerging new technologies, pricing and access , new / disruptive initiative from competition
  • Establish alert system to flag critical new competitive information and how it may impact DS strategy

Successful candidates will be able to meet the qualifications below with or without a reasonable accommodation.


  • Qualified candidates must have a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with emphasis in health sciences, business or marketing; MBA or other advanced degree is preferred.
  • 10+ years’ experience in marketing, market research or business analysis function within the pharmaceutical industry. Oncology experience is preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to be able to establish a solid network with all stakeholders in the global team and with region/market
  • Business acumen to provide realistic scenario and capture the big picture while being able to deep dive in the details
  • Management skills to support people development and team organization
  • International business experiences (worked in multiple regions and/or worked as global team member)
  • Very strong written and oral communication skills; able to present complex data in a clear and concise manner to a wide range of audience
