We are currently working with a private financial services company in Addison that is looking to hire an Accounting Manager to supervise a team of 2+ professionals. The positions pays to 75-90K base salary plus bonus (depending on skill set and salary history). Knowledge of QuickBooks Software highly preferred. Summary of Qualifications (assuming Manager role) • Bachelors Degree with a Major in Accounting, CPA preferred. • 5 – 7+ years of robust finance, accounting, auditing and analysis experience with a proven track record for success and growth. • Analytical and detail oriented, able to identify and implement process improvements that increase accuracy, efficiency and consistency. • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with all levels of an organization. • Well-developed multi-tasking and project management capabilities with efficient time management skills. • Management experience required. Ability to recruit, train and supervise staff in order to develop each individual team member. • Multi entity experience a plus. Summary of Duties • Facilitate and oversee month-end close for 13 locations throughout the U.S., including, but not limited to the following: o Revenue Postings o Fixed Assets o Amortization of Intangibles and Other Prepaids o Month-End Accruals o Intercompany o Cash Sweeps o Accounts Payable postings o Payroll Imports o Calculation of Benefits Expense o SEC Reporting o Allocations Financial Reporting, including month-end customer statements and key indicator reports. o Consolidation of Corporate results into Parent Company. • Participate in Company sponsored 401(k) plan, including the following: o Oversee fundings of 401(k) participants, adhering to DOL and ERISA standards. o Participate in 401(k) plan committee meetings o Liaison with recordkeeper on 401(k) plan sponsor issues. o Lead annual audit process for the Company 401(k) Plan. o Lead annual census and profit sharing calculations for physician practices • Lead annual budget process for physician practices and Company Corporate. • Prepare internal cash flow forecasts for physician services group and subsidiaries, when necessary. • Key member participation in monthly operating review, including analysis of internal results, as well as customer income statements (actual versus budget and prior year) and key indicators. • Ensure integrity of balance sheet by analyzing and reviewing account reconciliations to identify levels of risk or exposure. • Supervise and develop two staff accountants, two accounts payable staff and two payroll staff, including career development, regular staff meetings, one-on-one reviews, and team building. • Adhere and maintain internal controls, including, but not limited to the following: o Review and approve journal entries posted in QuickBooks Accounting system o Review and approve A/P checks o Review and approve manual payroll checks o Review QuickBooks access for appropriateness. • Assist in the maintenance of QuickBooks software for internal and customer accounting systems. • Respond to customer issues in a timely manner as necessary. • Other projects, as necessary.
