Job Description

Our client, a full service IT solution provider, headquartered on Long Island, offers a variety of hardware and software products, along with networking and professional services, designed to meet all of the IT challenges that our clients face. Thye have been recognized and cited as the #1 solution provider in the nation.

They have an immediate opening for an IT Operations Project Manager to help manage IT asset procurement programs for our Fortune 500 clients.

The responsibilities include:

Interfaces with domestic and/or global IT Asset Management and Procurement Teams to achieve high customer satisfaction, profitable business relationships and continued sales growth.

Manages multiple functions including operational process improvement efforts, resolution of global supply chain challenges, on-time delivery commitments, forecasting, business analysis, contract reviews and change management.

Interacts with OEM business partners (i.e. Dell, Lenovo and HP) to obtain and manage quotes, validate computer configurations (builds) for accuracy, request demonstration/test units.

Manages customer requirements including catalog of customer standards, inventory stocking levels, product life-cycle and model transitions.

Uses multiple ERP databases and ordering portals to perform data entry, monitoring and tracking all phases of quotes, purchase orders and order fulfillment.

Creates and analyzes daily high volume data reports via advanced Excel reporting tools (Pivot Tables, V-LookUps).

Supports new opportunity efforts by working with the proposal team to understand if internal modifications and/or development will be required to support the customers’ requirements.

Provides purchase order status information and vendor performance metrics.

Resolves challenges with vendors and expedites delayed orders.

Skills and Experience

The ideal candidate will have 5 or more years of account, program and project management experience in a technical environment with a focus on procurement, ordering lifecycle and supply chain management working in a global multisite environment.

Expert Excel skills are a must.

Experience working for a VAR or OEM in the IT industry is a strong plus.

Candidate must be available to conduct meetings at all hours, while managing from afar, due to time differences around the globe.
