Another Source's client, Milwaukee Electronics, is recruiting a Information Technology Technician to join their Canby office.

SUMMARY
We are seeking a detail-oriented, thorough, and organized Information Technology Technician to join our growing team. In this position, you will play a key role in providing support for all areas of IT. You will maintain systems, troubleshoot problems, and provide hands-on support for technology issues within the organization.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
  • Provides primary Help Desk support for desktops, laptops, monitors, wireless devices, printers, projectors, telephones, and other peripheral devices to both local and remote employees.
  • Provides local hands-on management and troubleshooting of servers, LAN/WAN technologies, manufacturing equipment and more as directed by primary support engineers.
  • Participates in company-wide technology projects designing and implementing localized solutions.
  • Installs and supports standard software like Microsoft Windows, Microsoft Office, Symantec antivirus and various enterprise application clients like Epicor and FactoryLogix.
  • Responsible for local technology purchasing, hardware and software inventories and software license compliance.
  • Purchases and configures new computers, smartphones and more for employees.
  • Administers Active Directory and application user IDs and email addresses.
  • Follow company policies and procedures.
  • Participate in work group/team activities. Must be a positive and dependable team member, adaptive & supportive of change. Provide input to problem solving process and possess good communication skills.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work area and environment.
  • The work performed in this job can only be done on site and attendance is an essential function of the job.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • This job has no supervisory responsibilities.

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Bachelors or Associates degree in Computer Science (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year College or technical school; or 1-2 year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

OTHER REQUIREMENTS –
  • Will be required to obtain certification for use and functions of a scissor lift.
  • Must have previous experience as a Help Desk analyst, computer technician, or another IT support role.
  • Must have the ability to troubleshoot and resolve multiple computer and network issues.
  • Must be able to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently.
  • Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Must be enthusiastic and dedicated to excellent customer service in a diverse and fast-paced environment.
  • Must be a goal-oriented and organized team player.
  • Must possess a strong sense of discretion and confidentiality.
  • Must have the legal-permanent right to work in the United States.
  • Will be required to sign a Non-Compete upon offer.

LANGUAGE SKILLS
The ability to read, speak, and understand English to enable clear communication and comprehension of internal company documentation.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Basic math skills will be required to add, subtract, multiply and divide. Basic understanding & ability to read performance graphs.

REASONING ABILITY
Able to understand and determine product quality to written documentation.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS
While performing the duties of this position, employee is frequently required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; and reach with hands and arms. Employee is occasionally required to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. Employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 20 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Vision requirements include: close & distant vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
