Job Summary- The Manager Clinical Research/Education is responsible for supporting the Clinical Research & Education team’s research by effectively understanding, prioritizing, researching, evaluating, analyzing and summarizing evidence and data to understand products, categories, new technology and their value to care delivery.  Through literature review, regulatory changes, specialty society standards of care/recommendations, service line collaboration and evidence based medicine, the Manager will develop literature evaluation and data analysis outputs that compare product clinical performance against comparable substitutes, will help create evidence review documents to summarize these findings, and will work with physicians on reviewing this evidence and making the created content actionable for our membership.
Duties (included but not limited to):
  • Initiate CE opportunity identification and sizing
  • Effectively research, evaluate, analyze and summarize evidence & data
  • Understand organization and healthcare climate to identify and size clinical opportunities
  • Provide clinical support and clinical rational to HealthTrust teams and members
  • Identify contracting categories with clinical sensitivity with physician services team members and HealthTrust contracting/clinical teams
  • Participate in advisory board meetings and calls
  • Manage presentation of research and hypothesis to physician advisors
  • Consult with clinicians on valuable practices, clinical guidelines, and literature/evidence
  • Cultivate physician and clinician relationships
  • Attend member meetings (as requested)
  • Utilize expertise in providing educational opportunities for staff and members

Job Requirements

Master’s degree in nursing or other advanced clinical degree (MHS, MPH, PA).
Clinician with minimum 5 years’ hospital or health-system experience required. Previous demonstrated leadership experience (in hospital preferred), building positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders, and optimizing related metrics. Demonstrated experience with literature evaluation and clinical writing.
