An Alzheimers secured dementia unit is available at Farmington Care Center. Offering a secured setting, the unit offers a full-time program director, staff specially trained in working with residents with dementia. In addition, the secured unit has an enclosed outdoor area, so residents have a safe place to enjoy outside activities.
April 15, 2004, Farmington Care Center is moving forward in the needs of the elderly population, offering a “Supportive Lifestyles” program. This program will offer specialized psychiatric care, in a long term care setting. Admission Criteria for this program in a primary psychiatric diagnosis. The capacity to benefit from a structured geriatric psychiatric program. All residents must voluntarily sign into the unit, or if conserved the resident has to agree to engage in the unit’s programs.
In addition, Farmington Care Center continues to provide post-acute medical and surgical services, intravenous therapy, physical, occupation, and speech therapies, wound care, trach care, hospice care, and pain management.
Farmington has full time medical coverage for both medical for both medical and psychiatric coverage.
