Volunteers of America is a national, nonprofit, faith-based organization dedicated to helping those in need rebuild their lives and reach their full potential. Since 1929 Volunteers of America has been serving the people and communities in Wisconsin. Over the years daycare, adoption services, residential care homes for the frail elderly, developmentally disabled and mentally ill adults have met the critical needs of thousands of individuals.
Today, Volunteers of America of Wisconsin provides services in Milwaukee, Waukesha, Kenosha, Whitewater, Clintonville, Waupaca and Manitowoc. We currently serve 60 residents who are frail elderly, adults with disabilities and those with chronic mental illness and their families providing 24-hour care in eight group homes. Personal care and assistance with daily activities are provided in a home-like environment focusing on individual needs and preferences.
At Volunteers of America, we are more than a nonprofit organization. We are a ministry of service that includes nearly 16,000 employees and 70,000 volunteers with a shared vision of a world where all people live in safety with social, emotional and physical well-being, spiritual fulfillment, justice and hope.
