Volunteers of America is a national
Volunteers of America is a national, non-profit, faith-based organization dedicated to helping those in need rebuild their lives and reach their full potential. Through thousands of human services programs, including housing and healthcare, Volunteers of America helps nearly 2 million people across the country – more than 16,000 in Greater Ohio alone.
Established locally in 1896, our ministry of service has supported and empowered America’s most vulnerable groups including at-risk youth, the frail elderly, men and women returning from prison, homeless individuals and families, people with disabilities, and those recovering from addictions.
Our work touches the mind, body, heart – and ultimately the spirit – of those we serve, integrating our deep compassion with highly effective programs and services.
At Volunteers of America we are more than a non-profit organization. We are a ministry of service that includes hundreds employees working together to help individuals in need. Our vision is a world where all people live in safety with social, emotional and physical wellbeing, spiritual fulfillment, justice and hope.
We want our employees to be fulfilled in their work and in their relationships with colleagues. Ultimately, we are all here for the same reason: to work together and help rebuild lives.
