Beacon Roofing Supply Inc. was formed when the investment firm Code Hennessey and Simmons acquired a controlling interest in Beacon Sales Company in September 1997. Beacon Sales Company has continuously been in the commercial roofing business since 1928.

Since 1997, we have been using our resources and industry strengths to acquire strong regional supply firms and to leverage the regional "brand" of each firm by maintaining its local identity, customer relationships and emphasis on local service and by doing one or more of the following:

Each member of Beacon's family of distributors sells a complete line of quality commercial roofing, residential roofing, waterproofing and related building products tailored to the needs of its region.

These include complete roofing systems from leading manufacturers, as well as system solutions designed by specifiers or contractors made up of components from several manufacturers supplied by the Beacon affiliate. In a given region, related building products can include siding, cedar shingles, windows, shutters, doors and various exterior metals.
