Fort Collins Coloradoan (Fort Collins, CO)

The city of Fort Collins was founded in 1873, the same year Joseph L. McClelland founded the Larimer County Express. In 1937 Speidel Newspapers acquired what was then known as the Express-Courier, and Fort Collins Newspapers Inc., was established as a local corporation. Gannett acquired the newspaper when it merged with Speidel in 1977. The newspaper's name was changed to the Coloradoan in 1980.

In 1998, the Coloradoan celebrated its 125th anniversary.
