POSITION SUMMARY:



This position is responsible for taking business/client/user requests and refining and translating them into delivered solutions. This requires partnering with clients, IT colleagues, as well as business champions and leaders from the finance team to ensure functionality meets the needs of our targeted customers: Tax and Treasury. Additionally, this position serves as a liaison between the business, technology teams, and support teams. This is a hands-on position where the individual is responsible for both the overall project management as well as the detailed business analysis.

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES:




Client Requirement

  • Work with the business owners to keep status and drive business prioritization of all tasks and projects associated within the area.

  • Strategize with the client to gather new ideas or any improvements to the functional area.

  • Understand the features, functions, limitations and possibilities of all current systems and software and how they interact, to balance client requests with feasibility.

  • Own all RTS (support) tasks associated with Tax and Treasury.  Includes gathering, prioritizing and development of functional specifications of issues & solutions.




Project Management

  • Lead project team on decision making for design and problem solving.

  • Elicit requirements using interviews, document analysis, requirements workshops, business process descriptions, scenarios, business analysis, task and workflow analysis, gap analysis, etc.

  • Critically evaluate information gathered from multiple sources, reconcile conflicts, decompose high-level information into details, abstract up from low-level information to a general understanding and distinguish user requests from the underlying true needs.

  • Participate in the development of user interface, navigation and overall user experience.

  • Participate in the review and/or development of user documentation and manuals, training materials and/or other job aids.

  • Assist in testing efforts, support the QA team as required, identify and schedule test plans, ensure issues are identified, tracked, reported on and resolved in a timely manner; work with client personnel to identify required changes and manage expectations and communicate needed changes to the development team.




EDUCATION

  • BS/BBA in Accounting/Finance or related field

  • Minimum 5 year’s related experience




SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS

  • Required:

    • Ability to effectively explain and document new and/or changing processes.

    • Ability to quickly understand the business needs and data challenges of each client’s organization.

    • Strong facilitation and presentation skills.  Individual must be comfortable presenting in front of on-site or off-site audiences (training, etc.).

    • Capable of working with minimal supervision, at a rapid pace, independently and with a tightly knit, cross-functional team, in a time-constrained environment.

    • Experience with project management and software development lifecycle.

    • Ability to multi-task, follow instructions, set priorities and meet deadlines.

    • Intermediate to expert-level skill in:  Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook (email and calendar) and online meeting tools (NetMeeting, Genesys Meeting Center).

    • This position will require minimal travel




  • Preferred:
    • Functional/business knowledge of Tax, Treasury and banking/credit card activities/transactions

    • ERP knowledge (i.e., Oracle, Eclipse)
