In this newly created role, the IT Leader - Security will have a unique opportunity to assist in shaping and implementing the strategy and direction of the security initiative within the IESC business.  



ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Preparing and maintaining documentation of security system operation guides, auditing system and network configurations and documentation

  • Performing application security assessments, quarterly user access reviews, and backup and recovery initiatives.

  • Responsible for managing compliance for multiple applications. Performs application and infrastructure security assessments, quarterly user access reviews, and backup and recovery initiatives.

  • Working with Infrastructure and Application teams to ensure information security policies and standards are met.

  • Serving as an Information Security Subject Matter Expert (SME) by maintaining knowledge of industry recognized security technologies and concepts; actively engages and assists lines of business to understand their needs and develop secure business solutions

  • Working with outsourced service providers, as well as Client IT, Business, Infrastructure Design and Build teams to drive improvements.

  • Delivering projects and services on time and on budget.

  • Working closely with other Leaders of the IT Infrastructure Team to communicate, share and implement best practices.

  • Working closely with the necessary teammates to ensure the Security Team, IT Infrastructure Team and overall IESC IT Team are able to meet all security service commitments to the business.

  • Analyze and evaluate our security architecture requirements, ensuring implementation conformance for both SOX and PCI regulatory standards 



Experience /
Requirements
  • Demonstrated customer focus – evaluates decisions through the eyes of the customer; builds strong customer relationships and creates processes with customer viewpoint

  • Solid understanding in multiple areas; Networking (LAN/WAN, TCP/IP, VOIP, IPS, IDS, DNS), LDAP/Site Minder, Windows (OS, Email, Active Directory), UNIX, Linux, Application, Database.

  • Broad understand the TCP/IP OSI model, routing, network and application protocols, familiarity with service protocols (HTTP, HTTPS, SSL, SSH, SMTP, POP3, DNS, FTP, etc.)

  • Extensive understanding of contemporary hardware and software architectures

  • LDAP, Active Directory and Exchange administration experience a must.

  • Systems Administration including UNIX and Windows with Active Directory, as well as UNIX or Windows Scripting (shell, VB script, etc.) which will include solving real world computer incidents a must

  • Working knowledge of secure communication methods, including Secure Shell, SILC, and PGP/GPG

  • Stay current with technology trends in all facets of Information Technology, but with a specific focus on those related to IT & Network Security

  • Strong oral and written communication skills, as well as the ability to manage expectations of the business, team members, management and external groups.


 


QUALIFICATIONS: 
  • BS degree as well as 7-10 years of Information Systems experience

  • 5 years of IT project management experience.

  • PMP (Project Management Professional) of Six Sigma Certification or equivalent preferred.

  • Strong team player – collaborates well with others to solve problems and actively incorporates input from various sources

  • IT security experience and/or relevant certifications

  • Ability to adapt to and learn different development platforms, languages and environments.

  • Strong knowledge of metrics reporting and process creation

  • Previous experience managing outsourced services and vendors both national and international.

  • Must be process oriented and able to prioritize & handle multiple tasks concurrently

  • Superior decision making and relationship building skills particularly in high stress situations.

  • This position may require 0-10% travel.
