Description
In this newly created role, the IT Leader - Security will have a unique opportunity to assist in shaping and implementing the strategy and direction of the security initiative within the IESC business.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Preparing and maintaining documentation of security system operation guides, auditing system and network configurations and documentation
Performing application security assessments, quarterly user access reviews, and backup and recovery initiatives.
Responsible for managing compliance for multiple applications. Performs application and infrastructure security assessments, quarterly user access reviews, and backup and recovery initiatives.
Working with Infrastructure and Application teams to ensure information security policies and standards are met.
Serving as an Information Security Subject Matter Expert (SME) by maintaining knowledge of industry recognized security technologies and concepts; actively engages and assists lines of business to understand their needs and develop secure business solutions
Working with outsourced service providers, as well as Client IT, Business, Infrastructure Design and Build teams to drive improvements.
Delivering projects and services on time and on budget.
Working closely with other Leaders of the IT Infrastructure Team to communicate, share and implement best practices.
Working closely with the necessary teammates to ensure the Security Team, IT Infrastructure Team and overall IESC IT Team are able to meet all security service commitments to the business.
Analyze and evaluate our security architecture requirements, ensuring implementation conformance for both SOX and PCI regulatory standards

Requirements
Demonstrated customer focus – evaluates decisions through the eyes of the customer; builds strong customer relationships and creates processes with customer viewpoint
Solid understanding in multiple areas; Networking (LAN/WAN, TCP/IP, VOIP, IPS, IDS, DNS), LDAP/Site Minder, Windows (OS, Email, Active Directory), UNIX, Linux, Application, Database.
Broad understand the TCP/IP OSI model, routing, network and application protocols, familiarity with service protocols (HTTP, HTTPS, SSL, SSH, SMTP, POP3, DNS, FTP, etc.)
Extensive understanding of contemporary hardware and software architectures
LDAP, Active Directory and Exchange administration experience a must.
Systems Administration including UNIX and Windows with Active Directory, as well as UNIX or Windows Scripting (shell, VB script, etc.) which will include solving real world computer incidents a must
Working knowledge of secure communication methods, including Secure Shell, SILC, and PGP/GPG
Stay current with technology trends in all facets of Information Technology, but with a specific focus on those related to IT & Network Security
Strong oral and written communication skills, as well as the ability to manage expectations of the business, team members, management and external groups.
QUALIFICATIONS:
BS degree as well as 7-10 years of Information Systems experience
5 years of IT project management experience.
PMP (Project Management Professional) of Six Sigma Certification or equivalent preferred.
Strong team player – collaborates well with others to solve problems and actively incorporates input from various sources
IT security experience and/or relevant certifications
Ability to adapt to and learn different development platforms, languages and environments.
Strong knowledge of metrics reporting and process creation
Previous experience managing outsourced services and vendors both national and international.
Must be process oriented and able to prioritize & handle multiple tasks concurrently
Superior decision making and relationship building skills particularly in high stress situations.
This position may require 0-10% travel.
