Summary:



The Industrial Marketing Leader is responsible for implementing the market analysis, constructing the measurement system(s), and providing recommendations for the refinement of current and future commercial programs.  Skills will include a strong base in research and analysis, communication (both written & oral), and influencing.  Trend and statistical analysis experience is critical to the success of the role.  The position reports to the Vice President – Marketing with a dotted line to the Director of Industrial & Automation.



 Essential Duties:

  • Participate on strategic growth teams & contribute to the direction and development of commercial strategy.  Areas of focus include working with executives leading strategic initiatives around industrial automation, oil and gas exploration and drilling, safety, process and industrial energy efficiency.

  • Own the development and execution of commercial program measurement.  The efforts will focus on product and service alignments within targeted growth areas.

  • Open channel for cross selling – lighting for industrial applications, automation into commercial construction

  • Lead data driven adjustment of promotional programs including the selection of targets, message modification, and variation of incentives for trial

  • Interface with IT to develop data capture and data warehouse capabilities

  • Capture key customer “critical success factors” and develop exception reporting summaries

  • Serve as the primary liaison between Rexel and key suppliers for market research interactions


Requirements

  • 5 years of B2B marketing, business development or equivalent commercial experience

  • Bachelors degree required (business or technical), MBA preferred

  • Strong written and oral communication skills, demonstrated influencing skills mandatory

  • Strong Excel and database skills – a power user

  • Must be able to articulate the components and timeline of activities for:
    • Market research and development

    • Statistical research & interpretation

    • Development and financial justification of promotional plans

    • Commercial program data system design & measurement
