Assist Meat Market Manager in total Meat Department operations.  Provide optimum customer satisfaction through the effective management and leadership of Meat and Seafood Department personnel.  This will be done by constantly maintaining high standards and Quality, Variety, Selection, Food Safety and Sanitation. This is to be accomplished in accordance with Kroger’s policy on business ethics; through consistent and honest dealings with employees, vendors, customers and all outside parties.

JOB DUTIES:

Promote the customer service standards by setting the example for superior customer service

Train and enforce the customer service standards with all meat and seafood department personnel.

•          Promote the team approach within the store and department

•          Continually evaluate the department to increase sales

•          Constantly look for ways to better run the business and increase profit

•          Maintain high ethical standards

•          Department budgeted sales, labor, expenses, and contribution

Minimum Position Qualifications:
 

·         High School diploma or equivalent preferred
·         Must be 18 years old
·         Ability to handle stressful situations
·         Ability to read a technical manual: retains and comprehends

·         Effective oral and written communication skills
·         Writing skills to complete complex  forms for budgets, inventories, orders,  communications, and reports

·         Knowledge of basic math functions; addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division

·         Ability to be flexible
·          Ability to work nights, weekends and Holiday's 
·         2 years of meat cutting experience   

·         2 years of management experience
·         Must comply with all King Soopers security and company policies
·         Must be able to stand and walk up to 8 hours in an 8-hour shift

·         Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds

·         Must be able to stand, lift, walk, carry, climb ladders, push, pull, bend, climb stairs, reach, and handle with both hands.
