Assist Meat Market Manager in total Meat Department operations. Provide optimum customer satisfaction through the effective management and leadership of Meat and Seafood Department personnel. This will be done by constantly maintaining high standards and Quality, Variety, Selection, Food Safety and Sanitation. This is to be accomplished in accordance with Kroger’s policy on business ethics; through consistent and honest dealings with employees, vendors, customers and all outside parties.

JOB DUTIES:

Responsible for one’s own safety and the safety of those with whom you work
Promote the customer service standards by setting the example for superior customer service
Train and enforce the customer service standards with all meat and seafood department personnel.
Areas of Responsibility:

merchandising OSHA compliance
professionalism food safety
HACCP scanning accuracy
safety & sanitation temperature logs
• Technical training for all department personnel
• Implement policies & procedures designated for this department
• Maintain safety and security of all company assets, personnel, products and equipment
• Holidays, staffing of department, merchandising needs, personnel needs, personnel issues must be planned, discussed with management and plans executed as appropriate
• Promote the team approach within the store and department
• Responsible for personnel issues in the department
• Evaluate employees
• Continually evaluate the department to increase sales
• Constantly look for ways to better run the business and increase profit
• Maintain high ethical standards
• Department budgeted sales, labor, expenses, and contribution
• Other duties and responsibilities as assigned
