We’re happy that you are considering joining our company at this exciting time. We are seeking creative, energetic employees to strengthen a team of more than 500 talented people who are transforming us into a multimedia communications company of the 21st century.

If you think of us as only the Daily Press newspaper, you’re just seeing part of the story.

The Daily Press has a proud tradition of more than one century as the dominant source of news for residents of the Virginia Peninsula and adjoining counties in the Middle Peninsula and Isle of Wight. On average, more than half of all adults in this area turn to the Daily Press on a regular basis – more than any other publication, TV station or radio station. Our newspaper is strong and profitable, and we plan to continue growing our reach.

Over the past decade, our company has evolved into multiple media companies serving the changing needs of area consumers.

Our fast growing online operation includes dailypress.com, our online news site, as well as affiliations with CareerBuilder.com, Cars.com and Homescape, the pre-eminent online sources for jobs, cars and homes. These online offerings, with their national footprint and brands, allow us to reach and sell customers throughout the Hampton Roads region economically and easily. We’re also experimenting with user-generated content and hyper-local news in our online Town Square verticles.

On the print side, we continue to develop new special sections and niche offerings targeting women and families.

We are also well placed in the northern and western edges of our market through our ownership of the Virginia Gazette Company, which publishes the Virginia Gazette in Williamsburg and the Tidewater Review in West Point, both fast growing in revenue and circulation.
