Henry Pratt Company was founded in 1901 and was truly a job shop. The employees could make or repair anything made of steel including smoke stacks, boilers and tanks. The company even repaired a steel liner for a tunnel under the Chicago River.

Since those days Henry Pratt Company has seen many changes in ownership and management but the heart of the company remains. Many of Pratt’s longtime employees began their careers at Pratt as young men and women and remain to celebrate their 20th, 30th and even 40th anniversary as part of the Henry Pratt family. Today, Pratt is a unique blend of youth and experience, well-established product and cutting edge technology as demonstrated by our computer-based engineering design and computer-based and Internet marketing.

As a company, Pratt has shown a remarkable capacity to adapt to changes in business climates, industry changes and changes in management while maintaining its position as an industry leader. Despite the passage of 100 years, Pratt has held onto its job shop roots, building valves to meet unique applications as well as fine quality standard products that help to provide clean drinking water to homes and businesses around the world.
