Elwyn is a nonprofit human services organization for people with special challenges. Elwyn began in 1852 as a school for
children with mental retardation located on a 400-acre rural site outside of Media, PA.
Since that time, Elwyn has grown to a multi-site, human services organization serving children and adults with all types of challenges, including developmental, physical, and emotional disabilities, as well as those with disadvantages. Programs are no longer offered only at central campuses, but have expanded to local schools, community sites, workplaces and individual homes.
We are committed to leading the way for continuous improvement in the quality, design and delivery of services to families and individuals with special challenges in life.
Drawing upon collective talents, personal commitment and innovation, Elwyn creates opportunities for children and adults with disabilities and disadvantages to learn, to work and to build more meaningful, independent lives. We help people recognize that each person is an important contributor to a better society. Together, we make a difference.
