Great West Casualty Company

Overview
The Difference is Service®

At Great West Casualty Company, when we say The Difference is Service®, it is very important for us to deliver quality service. This reflects reliability and consistency. We do this daily through every employee and agency partner.

As one of America's largest insurers of trucking companies, seeing things from our customers’ perspective has contributed to the cooperative relationships we have developed throughout the decades. In 1956, Great West Casualty Company was formed. From that moment on, a partnership with trucking professionals and a tradition of service was firmly established into our company culture.

Great West has established a reputation of unparalleled products and services through its innovative underwriting, claims, loss prevention, and subrogation departments. The growth of Great West over the years has come from knowing, understanding, and serving the needs of the trucking industry, to meeting and exceeding our customers’ needs.

Great West has been assigned an A.M. Best's Rating of A+ (Superior) and currently maintains an AA (Very Strong) rating with Standard & Poor's Rating Service. Great West has also received an Aa2 (Excellent) rating from Moody's Investors Service.

With our parent company (Old Republic International Corp.), financial strength, and stability, we have the means to protect what is most important to truckers... their future.
Environment
The character of our company is demonstrated by the daily actions of our employees and agents. We hold these nine values as keys to our success: •Integrity. We deal honestly, fairly, and openly with customers, associates, and employees. We believe in developing trust and honor as cornerstones of our business relations. •Ethics. We pledge to respect the dignity of each individual and treat all persons impacted by our actions and decisions with fairness and honesty. Our obligation to operate within the law at all times is just the beginning of our ethical obligation. We will not pursue any business opportunity that violates the law, diminishes our integrity, or compromises our ethical conduct. •Service. Our organization exists to serve others. If we do not serve, we have no reason for being. Service opportunities are continuously identified, developed, and implemented. •Excellence. We believe in doing things right and doing them well. We have high standards for performance, and we believe in the relentless pursuit of excellence. •Teamwork. We recognize that when we work together we are more effective, efficient, and fulfilled. We believe teamwork requires sacrifice and caring for each other. •Fun & Enjoyment. We believe that hard work is enjoyable and fulfilling when it challenges our talents and is accomplished in a supportive climate. •Resourcefulness. We value the ability and willingness to identify and solve problems. We believe in being aggressive, in improvising, and in individual ingenuity. •Security. We want everyone to feel secure in their business relationship with us. We encourage long-term relationships. •Courage. We value the strength and courage to live our corporate values in our daily lives–courage to be different, courage to pursue our objectives, and courage to challenge each other.

Vision
Our mission is to be “the” premier provider of insurance products and services for truckers. Our identity, our business, and our success are linked to trucking, the industry that moves America’s economy.

Principles to Advancing our Mission:

1.We are committed, first and foremost, to the trucking industry. We wish to be viewed as their partner in enterprise. We promise to always view our customers’ business from their point of view and to respond to their needs.

2.We are not an insurance company that provides service; we are a service company that provides insurance. Service quality is expected and straightforward. Our employees are the backbone of quality service.

3.We are innovative and can adapt to new challenges presented to us by our customers and our markets.

4.We believe in promoting employee success by proper job placement, education, and training; encouraging long-term employment by providing growth opportunities and empowering employees to make decisions in order to create value in the services we provide our customers.

5.We are committed to integrity and ethical conduct as the cornerstones of employee behavior and demand the same of all others who act on our behalf.

6.We believe in sharing our talents and energies in the communities in which we are located. As good citizens and neighbors and as employees of Great West, we will give of ourselves so that our communities will be better places in which to live.
Services
In addition to providing the protection trucking professionals need, we are dedicated to providing valued services such as:

•Safety/Loss Prevention: The key to reducing lost time on the road and eliminating lost revenue as a result of accidents is prevention. Our Safety Services Department provides seminars, video/audio tapes, newsletters, and other valuable resources for safety management and regulatory compliance information.

•Claims Handling: Fast, efficient claims service is essential. Great West has knowledgeable physical damage and cargo professionals who can handle claims quickly to help get customers back on the road. If necessary, we can utilize our own aircraft to reach the scene of an accident to launch an immediate investigation, to salvage perishable loads, and to protect our customers’ interests. Our seasoned liability and legal professionals are experienced in handling complex claim cases. Customers have access to our claims services 24 hours a day, every day of the year with experienced staff responding to their needs.

•Subrogation: Our subrogation staff can seek recovery of benefits paid under our customer’s policy when another party is legally liable for their damages. The ability to seek reimbursement for deductibles and losses paid is a valuable service of Great West.

•Old Republic Financial Acceptance Corporation (ORFAC): As an affiliate of Great West, ORFAC can provide simple, affordable equipment financing to the trucking industry. ORFAC offers competitive interest rates, free credit approval, and exceptional service. For more information on ORFAC visit www.oldrepublictruck.com.
