History

Professional Communications Systems began in 1985 in Tampa, Florida providing audio and video equipment and repair services to television stations and corporate audiovisual facilities. Since then PCS has steadily grown by providing consistently high-quality products and services and keeping an eye toward the future.

Today, Professional Communications Systems is recognized industry-wide for its expertise in broadcast and audiovisual systems integration with a portfolio of major broadcasters and corporations among its clientele. Operated as a privately held company for its first eleven years PCS, in 1996, became a wholly-owned subsidiary of Media General, a diversified, publicly owned media company with interests in television stations, newspapers and interactive media throughout the Southeastern United States.
