Founded in 1849, Ducommun Incorporated is the oldest company in California. Evolving from a store opened by Charles Ducommun in Los Angeles during the California Gold Rush, the company assisted in the birth of the aerospace industry in Southern California by providing aircraft aluminum to companies such as Lockheed.



Today, Ducommun continues to serve the aerospace industry by manufacturing components and assemblies for commercial aircraft, military aircraft, missile and space programs through its three business units, Ducommun Aerostructures, Ducommun Technologies and Miltec. Commercial aircraft programs include the Boeing 737NG, 747, 767 and 777, Eclipse business jet, Airbus Industries A330 and A340, Bombardier business and regional jets, and the Embraer 145 and 170/190. Military programs include the Boeing C-17, F-15 and F-18, Lockheed Martin F-16, various Sikorsky, Bell, Boeing, Agusta and Carson helicopter programs, and various aircraft and shipboard electronics programs. Space programs include various unmanned launch vehicle and satellite programs.
