In the middle 1970's Marathon Oil Company used their own subsidiary, Emro Marketing, as a petroleum marketer; which is, to sell and distribute gasoline. In 1998 Speedway and SuperAmerica combined efforts and joined forces to make one of the most progressive convenience store chains in the World. Speedway SuperAmerica now owns and operates over 1,700 convenience stores across the upper Midwest from South Dakota expanding east through the Ohio River Valley into West Virginia. Servicing over 2 million guests a day, SSA maintains a full stock of cigarettes, gasoline and general merchandise. As time progresses so do our stores, featuring our new Project 21 store model that features an expanded offering of merchandise, additional gasoline pumps, complete food service station, and cold beer.
