We are seeking professional individuals to sell and service insurance products to existing clients and new customers. Our History
American General Life and Accident Insurance Company was incorporated February 28, 1900 under the laws of the State of Tennessee as “The National Sick and Accident Association of Nashville.” The Company became a wholly owned subsidiary of NLT Corporation (NLT) in 1968. In 1982, American General Corporation (AGC), based in Houston, Texas, acquired NLT and its subsidiaries. The Company adopted its current name in 1984.
In 1991, Gulf Life Insurance Company was merged into American General Life and Accident. In 1997, The Independent Life and Accident Insurance Company merged into American General Life and Accident. Also in 1997, Home Beneficial Insurance Company merged into American General Life and Accident.
American General Life and Accident¹ was acquired, along with its parent company, by American International Group, Inc. (AIG) in 2001.

DAVID O'LEARY APPOINTED EXECUTIVE VP STRATEGIC MARKETING AND BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT
HOUSTON--Sept. 21, 2006--AIG American General, the domestic life insurance operations of American International Group, Inc. (AIG), has appointed David O'Leary as its new Executive Vice President of Strategic Marketing and Business Development.
"David's background and business foresight will undoubtedly complement the great team we've already assembled," said Matthew Winter, President and CEO, AIG American General. "He brings great breadth and depth of experience in the life insurance industry and in all forms of retail and wholesale distribution and we're thrilled to have him on board."
In his new role, O'Leary will lead cross-domestic initiatives to generate additional business revenue across all of AIG American General's business segments. O'Leary and his team will be responsible for broad market research, competitor research and working with key organization leaders to facilitate development of overarching domestic life business strategies. They will also spearhead business development by identifying and shaping new market initiatives and strategic alliances and will oversee development of the unique domestic life value proposition and brand.
O'Leary joins AIG American General from MassMutual Financial Group, where he served in multiple roles, including Senior Vice President and head of the Annuity Business and LifeBridge, Chairman of MassMutual's Trust Company, and President of the MML I and MML II Series Funds.
O'Leary holds a Bachelor of Science degree in accounting from the University of Connecticut and NASD Series 6 and 26 licenses.
