We believe in treating the whole person, not just the disease, and encourage those whose lives are affected by cancer to participate in psycho-social programs. We offer these services through our hospital affiliations and community resources. Our support groups meet regularly, and we offer educational Lunch & Learn sessions for patients and the public. These services are free.

OAK HILL HOSPITAL ANNOUNCES NEXT “FOR YOUR HEALTH SEMINAR”: “CANCER IN WOMEN”

Brooksville, Florida – Oak Hill Hospital has announced that it will continue its popular community education series on Tuesday, April 25 from 3:30 to 5:00 PM. Dr. Sawsan Bishay, MD will discuss “Cancer in Women.” Dr. Bishay is board certified in Radiation Oncology. She is a member of the American Society of Therapeutic Radiology and Oncology. She completed her residency in radiation oncology at New York Hospital where she was Chief Resident.

All presentations of the “For Your Health” community education series include free health screenings and complimentary refreshments. This month’s screenings include free blood pressure and blood oxygen level checks.

Seating is limited and reservations are advised. Call 352-597-6333. The seminars are conducted in the fourth floor classroom of Hernando Medical Center which is adjacent to Oak Hill Hospital at Entrance C.

Oak Hill Hospital has been serving the community since June of 1984 and is Hernando County’s largest medical facility and offers the county’s only open heart program, certified cancer institute, and certified stroke program.
