PAM Transport - CDL Training – Truck Driver Jobs

(Public)
HQ: Indianapolis, IN   |
Overview
PAM Transport is a publicly-traded trucking company based in Tontitown, Arkansas. The company operates solo and team operations with a fleet of about 1,800 trucks and drivers.

For the past several years, PAM Transport has been recognized as one of America's most successful and profitable truckload carriers. Recently, PAM was recognized as one of the best 200 small companies in the country by a leading financial publication. And while we're big enough to offer a secure future, we're not so big that you'll get lost in the shuffle. PAM Transport is currently looking to hire more truck drivers along our major freight lanes.

PAM Transport is an irregular route, common carrier, which means we haul just about anything anyone wants to ship on a truck - except refrigerated products. While we are authorized in 48 states and Canada, our primary routes are in the Midwest, Southeast, and the East Coast. Our customers include several Fortune 500 companies. About 90% of our loads are 'drop and hook' and don't require drivers to assist in the loading/unloading of the trailer.
Culture

  • "I had driven a truck back in the 80s until about 1995. Then I got out of it and started selling cars. I did that until 2002 when I got the itch to drive a truck again. The problem was it had been too long since I had driven for a trucking company and no one would hire me. Then I remembered a buddy of mine that got into the trucking industry by attending a company paid CDL truck driver training program, and then he went to drive for P.A.M. Transport. He told me it was a good place to work, and a good way to get back into the trucking industry. I did the same thing he did, and I went started to drive for P.A.M. Transport in July of 2002. I was made a driver trainer for the company in July of 2003, and I truly love what I do. P.A.M. Transport helped me get back into the trucking industry and I would recommend them and the company paid CDL truck driver training to anyone who wants a great and stable career." --Jim Hagan Warren, OH

  • "When I first looked into truck driving, P.A.M. Transport was there for me. They allowed me the opportunity to get started in the trucking industry, and they've given me good miles and I get home pretty regularly. P.A.M. Transport has always treated me really well." --Theodore Gilmore Hope, AR

  • "I've been an over-the-road truck driver for 14 years, and have worked for several other trucking carriers. I've been with P.A.M. Transport for 8 years, and the reason I stay is simple. What's important to a truck driver? Good miles? Good pay? Good equipment? Well, P.A.M. Transport has ALL those things. The staff here recognizes that truck driving is your JOB. Your spouse, children, and friends are your LIFE. Good pay, steady miles, and we get home pretty often. Take back your life. Come see us." --James E. Damron, Jr. Norman, OK

  • "I have worked for P.A.M. Transport for some time now, and I have enjoyed every minute. After I attended the CDL training school, I completed my training with an experienced truck driver trainer here at P.A.M. In addition to having wonderful trainers and staff, they always have someone in the office that can help you with any type of problem you might have at any time, day or night." --Raphael Lucas Lithonia, GA
