COLUMBUS, Ohio (June 5, 2007) – Patricia Eshman, J.D., has joined Grange Insurance as associate vice
president, community relations. In this role, Eshman will enhance Grange’s overall community and
philanthropic strategies by continuing the company’s commitment to making central Ohio a great place to
live and work.
She will manage Grange’s giving schedule, allocation of resources and employee and corporate community
involvement. Eshman will also be responsible for maintaining Grange’s engagement in the community to

expansion in downtown, this is a critical time for Patti to join the Grange team,” said Phil Urban, CEO of
Grange Insurance. “Patti is well-respected in and around Ohio, and we are proud to have her leading our
community and philanthropic efforts at such an exciting time in our history.”
Before joining Grange, Eshman was senior vice president, public policy for the Children’s Hunger
Alliance, where she advocated at the state and federal levels on behalf of the organization. There, she
focused on nutrition program expansion and congressional and state earmarks for specific agency projects.
From 1995 to 2003, she held a similar role with the Ohio Home Builders Association, serving as director of
government affairs. Eshman began her career in the public realm as an assistant attorney general for the
Office of the Ohio Attorney General.
