America First Credit Union was founded at Fort Douglas, Utah, on March 16, 1939. Beginning with 59 members and $25 in assets, America First has
grown into one of the United States most successful credit unions; the evolution has occurred with one, singular purpose: to improve the financial well-being of its members.


Throughout its history, America First has remained a member-owned, not-for-profit cooperative financial institution that provides a full range of products and services designed to establish economic health in all of life's many stages.


With headquarters in Riverdale, Utah, America First is the state's largest credit union, and the 12th largest in the country, with over $4.4 billion in assets. It is also the fifth largest credit union in the nation in terms of membership. The credit union operates 80 branches many are inside grocery stores, delivering extended-hours service, 9 a.m. to 7 p.m., Monday through Saturday along Utah's Wasatch Front, in St. George, and in Mesquite, Nevada.
