In 1985, Ingrid Hofmann, CEO of Hofmann Corporation, founded Hofmann Personal Leasing in Nurnberg, Germany. Just two years later, she opened the second branch in Munich. According to her philosophy, that growth occurs by word of mouth. Hofmann Corporation has become one of the largest staffing agencies in Europe with more than 15,000 employees and over 70 international branches located in the United States, England, Germany, Austria, and the Czech Republic.

Before starting her own business, Ingrid Hofmann had already been working in the field of temporary work and at that time, temporary work was not her desired career at all. Her career training strategy was to be a foreign trade salesperson in an international flower import business. She believed that career path would have lead to her dream job of becoming a manager of an orchid plantation in South Africa, but the unstable political situation there shattered those dreams.

Despite that, she found a different dream job – one that still fascinates her today. The career decision to work at a Swiss temporary work agency led her to unimaginable success. She started as a staffing specialist, eventually became the managing director of a regional company, and since 1985, she has been the sole managing director of Hofmann Personal Leasing.

She states, “It is as if this job was created for me. Here I am able to make use of all of my abilities and expertise: I am the director of staffing, buyer, seller, advertising manager, mentor and psychologist at the same time. It is a job that is tremendously diverse. For this reason, I cannot imagine a better or more varied career.”
