UPS was awarded the "Most IT-enabled Organization of the Year" during the 13th Annual Computing Awards on November 16, 2005. Held at the Battersea Park Arena in London, the awards recognize individual, group and corporate wide IT accomplishments from the past year. UPS was selected for its global use of IT, particularly wireless networks, to improve its operations while providing its customers visibility into their supply chains for improved customer service.
UPS Racing Web site recognized with Standard of Excellence WebAward
UPS Racing has been awarded the 2005 Standard of Excellence WebAward by the Web Marketing Association. Now in its 9th year, the WebAwards recognizes Web sites whose design and functionality exceed industry standards and provide the most effective site for its business. The official site of the #88 Robert Yates racing team, racing.ups.com, has won the award the last four years.
UPS Package Flow technology honored with the CMP BTO Excellence award
CMP Media, which includes publications Optimize, Information Week and Computing magazine, honored UPS for its dedication to Business Technology Optimization (BTO) with a CMP BTO Excellence Award this month. The award, presented under the category of “Optimizing IT for Business Growth,” recognized UPS’s continued efforts with Package Flow Technology - a BTO solution designed to optimize deliveries while reducing harmful environmental impacts.

UPS has won the Web Marketing Association's 2004 WebAward for Standard of Excellence recognizing ups.com as one of the most effective websites on the Net today. The WebAward Competition recognizes the team achievement of web professionals who create and maintain outstanding corporate web sites. Entries were judged by a panel of independent Internet experts in such areas as design, navigation, innovation, and usefulness to target audience.

In August 2004, UPS received the 2004 AXIEM for Absolute eXcellence in Electronic Media. The UPS Technology Synchronized CD received AXIEM's highest honor, the COPPER AXIEM™ for a national interactive media submission in the public relations category.

UPS Diversity Steering Council

UPS also has a Diversity Steering Council whose vision is to "ensure that workforce, customer, and supplier diversity remain a visible core value that is integral to our business, our community relationships, and The UPS Charter."
The UPS Diversity Steering Council is co-chaired by Chairman and CEO Mike Eskew, and Senior Vice President, Human Resources Lea Soupata. This cross-functional council consists of internal and external representatives.
