Nothing is as certain as an ever-changing and confusing income tax code. Liberty Tax Service offers help. The company's basic income tax preparation classes educate the public about the latest tax changes, and every facet of individual income tax preparation. No prior tax experience is necessary to enroll and take the class. Enroll and you'll be on the way to freedom from the complexity of income tax regulations and the pursuit of a new career!

The curriculum is designed to cover the fundamentals of basic income tax preparation. During the ten-week class, instructors cover all schedules, credits and forms that can be filed with an individual tax return. Students apply their tax knowledge to prepare taxes both on paper and using the computer. The only cost may be a minimal charge for books.

September Classes
Liberty's basic tax course starts the week after Labor Day. The sessions are held twice a week for ten weeks, with flexible morning and evening courses.

Online courses begin August 25th, 2008 from 6:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m. EST. This will be a 10-week course. Live Instructors are onsite to answer questions! Cost is $109.00 for the books.

October Classes
There may be additional eight-week basic courses offered in October.

November Classes
Some offices will offer six-week basic courses in November.

January Classes
In early January, Liberty Tax Service will hold week-day Rapid Classes in most offices. There are no tuition or book charges for these Rapid Classes.


There is also an Online Rapid Class option. There is a $25 registration fee for the Online Class which covers the book and unlimited access to the lessons.

To that end, we created a training program for our Franchisees that would teach them how to service the unique needs of the Hispanic client. The 22 week course includes instructions on culture, government and tax forms and the subtle proprieties relative to communicating with our Latino clients. This in-depth course was offered free-of-charge to all Franchisees and their staff.

Only Liberty Tax offices that have fluent, bilingual staffing and whose selected employees have met the qualifications associated with the 22 week course are eligible for certification. This exclusive recognition includes the honor of posting the Hispanic Services Seal of Excellence in their office windows that proclaims in Spanish “Orgullosamente Sirviendo A La Comunidad Hispana” or “Proudly Serving the Hispanic Community”. Offices bearing this insignia authenticate to the Latino community that they have been fully trained to service the Hispanic community’s tax needs, with a qualified bilingual translator on hand.

Liberty Tax Service has taken its commitment to the Hispanic community very seriously. We have an Hispanic Marketing Services Team whose charter is to assimilate with the Latino community so that we can ensure it is providing the right services and communicating with the Hispanic community in the right way.
