Advanced Behavioral Health, Inc. (ABH) is a non-profit behavioral health management company that specializes in utilization management, provider network administration, research and dissemination of best practices and health information technology. An acknowledged leader in behavioral health care management, ABH delivers a broad range of services, creates information technology and data management tools.

ABH works collaboratively with providers and communities to administer treatment and research programs. One such program is Connecticut's Project SAFE — a nationally recognized program funded by the Departments of Children and Families (DCF) and Mental Health and Addiction Services (DMHAS) and administered by ABH — that helps families with substance abuse problems receive effective evaluation and treatment.

The ABH provider network includes child guidance clinics, family service agencies, other community-based behavioral healthcare providers, and hospitals. ABH is recognized for its successful collaboration with the provider community, state agencies, and others in developing client-focused solutions that improve the delivery of behavioral health care services.

AWARDED BEST PLACES TO WORK IN CONNECTICUT 2007

ABH was recently recognized as one of the Best Places to Work in Connecticut. The Hartford Business Journal, the Connecticut Better Business Bureau, and Best Companies Group created this annual program that recognizes the best company to work for in the state. This program was designed to identify, recognize and honor the best places of employment in Connecticut, benefiting the state's economy, its workforce and businesses.

Companies from across the state entered the two-part process to determine the Best Places to Work in Connecticut. The first part consisted of evaluating each nominated company's workplace policies, practices, philosophy, systems and demographics. The second part consisted of a confidential employee survey to measure the employee’s experience. The combined scores determined the top companies and the final ranking. Best Companies Group managed the overall registration and survey process and analyzed the data and used their expertise to determine the final rankings.
