Action Printing is a division of Action Advertising, Inc. A 30+ year old company, Action Advertising, Inc. is one of the largest publishers and printers in the Midwest. The company has two divisions: Action Publications and Action Printing, and has grown into one of Fond du Lac's largest employers with over 300 full and part time employees. Action Advertising, Inc. is a division of Gannett Satellite Information Network, Inc.

Action Publications publishes seven free publications, including Action Advertiser/Action Sunday, a community newspaper that has won numerous national awards.

The printing division constitutes approximately 75% of Action's revenues.Action Printing's market niche includes directories, manuals, catalogs, publications and books printed with coated covers on uncoated text. Action serves customers from nearly every state in the country!

The company has experienced sales increases in each of its 30+ years. With this continued growth, the challenge has been to keep up with technology as much as practical, for the sake of Action's customers... while not overextending the company financially, for the sake of Action employees.

Maintaining this high level of service and quality requires not only a trained staff and innovative management, but also the ability to move forward with the changing technological times.

Jim Carew decided to semi-retire several years ago, although he remains as the company's Chairman. Bob Carew serves as Action's President and Tom Carew as Vice President.
