RK Dixon has always been a family business guided by family values. Bryan Dixon serves as President and CEO and Jeff Dixon is President of Information Technology. Robert Dixon is Chairman of the Board and Carla Dixon is Executive Vice-President.
We service 79 counties in Iowa, Illinois, and Wisconsin with office locations in the Quad Cities, Rockford, Peoria, Bloomington, Champaign, Springfield, and Cedar Rapids. As we have grown, our commitment to our customers has never changed. We employ approximately 200 people dedicated to providing the highest level of service to our customers, which include one-person operations, large corporations, government agencies, schools, and churches. Our rapid acceleration and acceptance in the business world is due to diligent attention to customer relations and a "No Compromises" approach to quality products and networking services.
The RK Dixon story begins with Robert Dixon and a successful 20-year track record in copier sales with 3M. Robert and Carla Dixon felt the timing was right to turn a new page and incorporated RK Dixon. It was a good decision; from day one, customer response was positive. The following is a timeline of important events:
1983 - RK Dixon founded by Robert & Carla, with office locations in Davenport, Iowa, and Peoria and Rockford, Illinois.
1985 - Opened a fourth branch office in Bloomington, Illinois.
1987 - Introduced internal leasing company.
1989 - Purchased new office building in Rockford, Illinois.
1992 - Acquisition of Copy Products Corporation, Peoria, Illinois.
1993 - Formed Information Technology division.
1996 - Built new office building in Peoria, Illinois.
1997 - Bryan Dixon named President & COO.
1997 - Jeff Dixon named President of Information Technology.
1997 - Built new 25,000 square foot corporate office facility in Davenport, Iowa to accommodate the growing business.
1997 - Acquisition of ZBM, Springfield, Illinois.
1999 - Developed the CompuSuite division, an application service provider.
2003 - Expanded to six locations with the opening of the Champaign, Illinois branch.
2003 - Bob Dixon named Chairman of the Board and Bryan Dixon named Chief Executive Officer.
2005 - Added Purity Plus division.
2006 - Expanded to 7 locations with the opening of the Cedar Rapids, IA branch.
2007 - Acquisition of Command Business Systems, Davenport, IA
