Power
Fossil
With more than a century-old history of electric generation capability, Shaw’s fossil experience includes combined cycle, cogeneration, and coal-, oil-, and gas-fueled thermal plants in both brownfield and greenfield settings. Shaw is an industry leader in engineering, designing, and constructing new fossil fuel facilities that incorporate clean coal technologies, as well as refurbishing and modifying existing facilities to generate power that is environmentally sound and cost-effective. Our services include new generation facilities, emissions retrofits, management consulting, and operations and maintenance.

Nuclear
Shaw offers design, engineering, maintenance, construction, start-up and test, and new plant nuclear services based on more than 60 years of nuclear industry leadership. Shaw, a 20 percent owner of Westinghouse, is the largest provider of commercial nuclear power plant maintenance and modifications services in the United States with active contracts at 40 operating units. As part of the Shaw/Westinghouse AP1000 Consortium, we were recently selected to provide four new nuclear units in China.

Maintenance
Shaw offers maintenance, plant engineering, turnaround/outage, and other services to the fossil and nuclear power, chemical, petrochemical, refining, automotive and manufacturing, and pulp and paper industries.

Transmission & Distribution
Shaw provides transmission and distribution services and has become one of the fastest growing T&D services companies in the United States. Shaw provides maintenance services, emergency restoration, as well as the design, engineering, and construction of new transmission lines and substations.

Energy and Chemicals

Shaw applies civil and structural engineering expertise and a thorough knowledge of environmental assessment, planning, and design to successfully meet its clients’ infrastructure needs. Our services include design-build, facilities management, mission support services, and real estate services. Our markets include homeland security, ports, harbors and waterways, transportation, and water/wastewater.

Fabrication and Manufacturing
Shaw is the largest supplier of fabricated piping systems in the United States and a leading provider of piping solutions worldwide. With 15 fabrication and manufacturing facilities worldwide, Shaw is a major provider of piping technology, particularly induction bending, where we are the recognized technological leader in the industry. Using our proprietary computer applications for design, interface, material control, production scheduling, and fabrication management, Shaw manufactures and distributes an extensive line of specialty stainless, alloy, and carbon steel pipe fittings.
