Physicians Immediate Care is not a substitute for ongoing medical care with a primary care physician. These physicians specialize in caring for problems that are ongoing and in caring for your preventive medical needs. Physicians Immediate Care is also not a substitute for the local hospital emergency department, where physicians specialize in caring for true emergencies, such as chest pain, heart attacks, multiple trauma, and other true emergency illnesses and injuries.

Second Fellowship in Urgent Care Medicine

Physicians Immediate Care announces the opening of the second Fellowship in Urgent Care Medicine in the USA. The Fellowship is a first for Illinois and go forward as a partnership between the University of Illinois College of Medicine at Rockford (UIC-R) and Physicians Immediate Care. The Fellowship is, also, endorsed by the Urgent Care Association of America, an organization that sponsored the first fellowship in urgent care medicine at Case University in Cleveland, OH. Prospective fellows will be graduates of accredited family medicine residency programs who wish to further their knowledge base and enhance their procedural skills in the growing specialty of Urgent Care Medicine.
