Overview
At Charles Schwab, we help millions of people make the most of their money.

It all starts with our purpose: to help everyone be financially fit. We've even structured our organization with individual investors in mind, serving them directly through Investor Services and indirectly through our "business-to-business" segment, Institutional Services.

Investor Services provides individual savers and investors with brokerage, banking, insurance and other financial services. Clients have easy access online, by phone or at a local Schwab branch. Plus, clients get to choose the way they want to invest—on their own, or with the help and guidance of financial professionals.

Institutional Services helps independent investment advisors, employers and third-party plan sponsors serve their clients more effectively. For advisors, we provide everything from trading and custodian services to help independent investment advisors serve their clients. For employers, we manage bundled retirement plans—like the company 401(k)—as well as stock plans.

Our shared services teams also provide centralized support for both business segments, including jobs in accounting and finance, asset management, human resources, technology services, legal, marketing and more.
