Job Description :
Quad/Graphics is seeking a Press Assistant II (Stacker). Responsibilities include assisting press crews during make-ready and production runs which will include changing plates, webbing-up press, and assisting with scheduled maintenance. Responsible for operating the automatic stacker/bundler as signatures are delivered off press. Operators must follow established standard operating procedures at all times to ensure quality standards are being met, while performing daily maintenance and general housekeeping on the assigned press. The operator will also assist in planning and organizing jobs by reading/understanding the production schedule and assist the press crews as required while running the press.

Qualifications :
- Must have a high school diploma or a GED and be able to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
- Applicants must demonstrate basic math and reading skills. A test may be required to demonstrate these skills.
- The candidates must possess a mechanical aptitude demonstrated by prior job assignments/experience or by completing a mechanical aptitude test.
- Basic understanding of computers is required.
- Must meet the ergonomic and physical requirements for the position which includes: the ability to lift 10-15 pounds continuously; the ability to lift up to 70 pounds occasionally; and prolonged standing/bending/stooping, with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Passing a color-test is also required.
- Must be able to thrive in a fast paced environment and work independently with minimal supervision.
