Turbomeca Manufacturing is a state of the art production facility specializing in the production of precision engine components in Monroe, North Carolina.

We are currently seeking experienced MACHINISTS for Conventional and CNC Grinders (ID/OD).
 

Qualified candidates will have experience using the metric system, machining to critical tolerances and trouble shooting problems such as setup, program and tooling.  
 

Major accountabilities for these positions include planning, layout, and operating and adjusting all machine operations on both conventional and N/C (numerical control) machines to construct, alter, repair, and finish a variety of close tolerance component parts.

 

Qualified candidates must be able to perform quality inspections of finished components throughout the process using gauging devices, hand tools, and other hand held and/or mechanical equipment.  Qualified candidates will also collaborate and communicate with support staff including Quality, Engineering, Programming, etc.  

 

Job Requirements

 

          HS Diploma or GED

          3 to 5 years experience with precision machining, close tolerances and attention to detail are 
            required

          Experience with any of the following specific machinery  is preferred:  CNC Okuma, Studer, 
            Blohm Grinders, Wendt, Clausing lathes, Mori Seiki Lathes, and/or other vertical and horizontal 
            mills and grinders

          Experience with any of the following CNC Controls:  Siemens, Fanuc and Okuma

          Experience using micrometers, comparators, drop indicators and other precision measuring 
            instruments is preferred

          Must be able to read and interpret prints, routings and layouts

          Previous experience in an Aerospace Environment or an ISO 9001 Manufacturing Environment 
            a plus

          Candidates must be able to work in a team environment and to work independently

          Computer skills a must

          Must be able to work any shift (1st, 2nd or 3rd)

          Able to work overtime as needed
