Then we have the right place for you!  Our client is looking to extend our Collector team with individuals who have a passion for solving tough technical problems, the ability to quickly learn new technology, and a knack for making complex ideas simple for our customers.

 

Responsibilities of the Windows Collector Engineer:

  • Write high-quality, modular, supportable code and unit tests that can be easily modified and/or replaced as the product evolves, and can be supported on multiple platforms as applicable

  • Work closely with

    • Project management and release leads to decompose feature requirements into work tasks and provide estimates around time/effort/risk associated with the tasks

    • Product Architects to document and understand the expectations and requirements for your implementation

    • Quality Assurance to determine the nature of issues and to implement appropriate resolutions

    • Other engineers to drive protocol development/definition and provide appropriate documentation

    • Customer Support to ensure appropriate communication of status on customer issues and responsiveness regarding service release plans




Job Requirements

Qualifications of the Windows Collector Engineer:

  • A bachelor's degree in Computer Science with 3+ years of product experience

  • Strong C and C++ programming skills including multiple scripting languages (shell, perl, vbs, etc)

  • Deep understanding of Windows kernel and device drivers, and Windows Server Internals. Demonstrate proven ability to identify and resolve code-level problems

  • Demonstrate a firm grasp of computer science fundamentals and advanced concepts, including comfort in multi-threading and concurrent programming

  • Ability to manage a diverse set of tasks across multiple areas of the product, and complete them as defined in a timely manner

  • A desire to contribute outside your role and to grow in both experience and expertise

  • Self-starter mentality with the ability to work with little supervision

 

Desired Experience of the Windows Collector Engineer:

  • Knowledge of IIS isapi filters and modules, ASP.NET programming, or MS SQL protocols

  • System Admin level skills on Windows Operating Systems

  • Understanding of complex, multi-tier applications and troubleshooting in those environments
