Senior Cisco Unified Communications (UC) Support Engineer

Grow your enterprise networking expertise in a hands-on role by configuring, deploying and troubleshooting for the full suite of Cisco's UC offerings! You will be directly involved with the post-implementation support of an operational Cisco UC environment that encompasses the entire Cisco UC suite and serves over 2,700 end users.
 
ettain group has immediate contract-to-hire needs for two Senior Cisco Unified Communications (UC) Support Engineers in Rockville, MD. The company was one of the fastest growing companies in 2012 and is one of the leading providers for Cisco’s products. Qualified candidates should be very familiar with Cisco best practices and demonstrate prior experience with operating, provisioning, configuring and troubleshooting Cisco UC systems and related endpoints.
Duties & Responsibilities:

• Provide full lifecycle support for the existing voice (Cisco Call Manager) and/or video (Cisco TelePresence) environment

• Provide supervision and direction to junior team members

• Develop end user documentation and instructions on current UC technologies and future enhancements

• Compile operations and maintenance reports as required, to include monthly operations and key metrics reports


Requirements

•         Bachelor’s Degree in IT, Engineering, Computer Science, or related discipline
•         4+ years of experience in Cisco network or Cisco Unified Communications deployment and/or operations
•         US Citizenship is required
•         Comfortable when implementing enterprise level Cisco UC technologies
•         Prior experience implementing and/or operating ANY of the following: o Cisco Unified Communications Manager o Cisco Unity Connection o Cisco Unified Presence Server o Cisco Unified MeetingPlace o Cisco Unified Contact Center Express o Cisco TelePresence Video Communications Server o Cisco TelePresence Management Suite o Cisco ISR G2 (1900, 2900, 3900) o ISDN T1 PRI Interfaces o SIP Trunk Interfaces o FXO and FXS Interfaces   Certifications:
•         CCNA (required)
•         CCNP-Voice (required)
