Many employees enjoy a commute of 5 minutes or less! Job Description: Software Engineers are needed to participate in various classified programs. Experience all aspects of a software development life-cycle. This includes software design, implementation, and test under the direction of a more senior-level engineer, supporting customer demonstrations, and developing and executing software test plans and procedures. Many engineers also have the opportunity to participate in installation activities both in the United States and abroad. This is some of the most important classified development and deployment work being done today. Responsibilities: - Work as a software developer and integrator as part of a development team which utilizes a diverse dynamic workforce, including many experts in their fields. Specific duties include:
- Develop, integrate, test and document to ensure proper operation of hardware and software platforms
- Integrate a wide variety of applications from various sources and ensure they meet performance standards for stability and resource utilization
- Develop software as necessary to integrate between components, perform new capabilities, facilitate testing, etc.
- Adhere to accepted standards for development, including writing unit tests which provide a high percentage of code coverage, participating in code peer reviews, conducting design reviews , and generating test plans to ensure maximum stability and quality of code
- Integrate a wide variety of applications from various sources and ensure they meet performance standards for stability and resource utilization
- Develop software as necessary to integrate between components, perform new capabilities, facilitate testing, etc.
- Adhere to accepted standards for development, including writing unit tests which provide a high percentage of code coverage, participating in code peer reviews, conducting design reviews , and generating test plans to ensure maximum stability and quality of code
Required Experience: - Ability to design software modules using structured and object-oriented approaches.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as C++, Java, Javascript, and HTML5 on a UNIX and/or PC platform.
- Ability to provide direct customer interaction for the purpose of conveying software design decisions and/or performing software installation support.
- Ability to perform trade-off analysis and work in a team environment.
- Ability to obtain a US Security Clearance.
Desired Experience: - Practical experience with specific technologies such as databases, distributed architectures, web-based technologies, user interfaces/portals, and familiarity with software design/implementation tools.
- An understanding of agile software methodologies such as Scrum is also a plus.
Required Education: - Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or Software Engineering
- Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher. (Please include your GPA on your resume.)
