The DS Brands Business Development Manager creates new revenue and margin streams that support our corporate growth goals by identifying and entering new Senior focused channels and adjacent markets where our products fit. This position will need to be able to analyze and financially model opportunities as well as initiate and grow relationships that allow Direct Supply to enter the new channels and markets.
Essential Job Functions and Leadership Responsibilities:
- Lead the creation and execution of strategic new channel and new market plans for all DS Brand product segments
- Lead cross functional teams to analyze and execute on new opportunities
- Analyze sales performance, industry trends, market research and competition to identify and justify projects
- Introduce best practices to continually improve speed to market and profitability of new channel and market development
- Strengthen Direct Supply’s organization and product brands as “the eldercare experts” through customer visits, educational sessions, and industry involvement
- Engage relevant internal corporate partners to ensure alignment and the success of new channel and market expansions
- Lead the development of three year new channel and market plans
- Identify areas for growth through market, trade event, and new business partner visits
- Ability to travel up to 30%
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing or business field, MBA preferred
- 5+ years of strategic marketing or business development experience with a proven track record of driving growth
- 2+ years of experience leading cross functional teams
- Previous experience with marketing planning and development, financial analysis/budgeting and overall marketing leadership
- Formal presentations skills required
- Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills, focused on internal and external customers, including executive level
Additional Preferred Skills:
- Familiarity with the long term healthcare profession
- Experience with a catalog sales company or a direct marketing company a plus
