Production Manager



Production Manager

Production Management – Provide direct supervision and training to assigned staff including involvement in hiring, discipline and performance reviews. Effectively utilize company resources resulting in increased productivity, quality and capabilities.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

-Manage and facilitate all facets of Drillpipe Manufacturing Production Operation activities related to manufacture of products.

-Implement operations strategies to improve in the areas of Delivery, Cost, Productivity and Quality.

-Manage cost, quality, and delivery performance.

-Drive continuous improvement in all aspects of the operations process.

-Assist in coordination and implementation of new product process development and start-up.

Safety Program Management – Provide management of safety function within the organization to ensure effective control of accidents and minimize health risk exposure. Provide professional knowledge and expertise in the administration and support of all environmental health and safety programs to assure compliance with regulatory agency guidelines and company policies.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
-Ensures compliance with all applicable federal, state and local legislation and codes governing environmental health and safety.
-Develops policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulations and guidelines.
-Designs and implements programs to train managers and employees in safe operating procedures.
-Conducts on-site reviews, audits and safety inspections.
-Develops and implements accident and injury investigation, and take the lead in the preparation of material for hearings and insurance investigations should they arise.
-Coordinates all emergency response procedures.
-Maintain OSHA logs, prepare and submit reports to agencies.
-Monitor all current information on regulations and requirements related to safety.

OTHER SKILLS/ABILITIES

-Drillpipe Manufacturing Management Experience Required
-Strong interpersonal and communication skills (verbal, written and comprehension)
-Highly motivated and energetic with a proven ability to work in a continually changing environment .
-Must be able to operate independently and operate within a team environment.

-Demonstrates initiative and adaptability.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

- Drillpipe Manufacturing Management Required
- Safety and Compliance background.
- Minimum 2 years safety compliance experience.
- Minimum 2 years manufacturing environment experience.

Other Duties – Assist the General Manager and other Managers as needed.
