Responsibility: - Preparation of monthly financial statements and other management reporting.
- Month-end close processes, booking journal entries and providing appropriate detail level review and analysis.
- Perform expense and balance sheet account analysis on accounts, including research and documentation as well as preparation of appropriate schedules and related reports
- Perform monthly financial variance analysis, standard cost variances, including research, documentation and communication of account fluctuations
- P&L analysis
- Perform timely and effective monthly account reconciliations
- Maintain general ledger and fixed asset system
- Work with others in the organization to help ensure accurate coding of expenses and revenues.
- Provide assistance to Controller & CFO with month-end/year-end close and other projects as assigned
- Maintain Government Reporting/Contracting Requirements
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE - Bachelors degree in Accounting or Finance
- CPA and public accounting experience desired
- 5+ years of general accounting experience
- Microsoft Excel and Access and strong aptitude for information systems.
