Consulting - Senior Associate - FI Compliance Job

Position Description

The Risk Advisory Senior Associate is responsible for providing internal audit, Sarbanes-Oxley and regulatory compliance review services to financial institutions, primarily commercial and community savings banks.

As a Risk Advisory Senior Associate, you will be responsible for conducting fieldwork individually and with a team, discussing findings and observations during exit meetings, preparing work papers to support conclusions and preparing formal written reports for issuance to the client. The position will also include routine client service assistance such as advice on various operational and compliance matters, best practices and helping clients deal with control issues. This person should be familiar with the banking industry, and have specific expertise in regulatory compliance and internal controls as they affect financial institutions. The preferred candidate will also have experience in the financial services industry, including investment banks and brokerage.


Requirements:


- Bachelor degree in business, finance, or accounting
- Minimum of 3 to 5 years internal audit and/or risk management consulting experience with financial institutions
- Ability to commute to client locations
- Ability to travel overnight 20% to 30% of the time

Preferred Qualifications

- Expertise in bank regulatory compliance requirements
- Familiarity with control narratives and evaluation of internal controls
- Regulatory, internal audit or public accounting background
- Bank lending, deposit or operations experience
- Professional designations or a candidate for one
- Willingness to market our services to prospective clients
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Good time management skills and the ability to meet strict time/budget guidelines.
- Good analytical and problem solving skills
