 Description Plans, determines, and maintains the optimal manufacturing methods and processes for manufacturing, assembly, and test for producing complex machines. Maintains cost effectiveness and labor utilization in optimization of new or existing manufacturing operations consistent with quality specifications. Working from engineering design documents, prototypes exercising a complete knowledge of set-up , run time, feeds and speeds of major machine tools, tooling, materials, etc. Coordinates on project basis with other departments, such as design engineering, production control, purchasing, etc. Troubleshoots problems related to manufacturing methods and processes. Provides technical guidance and assistance to production management and others on manufaturability, reliability, etc.
 RequirementsBachelor degree in engineering, good knowledge of solid works software, good project manager, ability to understand and interpret design, GDT requirement. Understands statistics, process capabilities and design for manufacturing. Good team work and analytical and team based problem solving. Basic understanding of manufacturing equipment used in fasteners industry and their function. Six-sigma will be helpful. Knowledge of FEA software is desirable.
