Position Summary
- Utilize your experience and knowledge to support the growth of the property valuation program for a mortgage industry leader
- Perform desk reviews of property valuation products providing an assessment of the methodology and value conclusions
- Serve as a subject matter expert to staff and management on residential valuation techniques
- Assist management in the oversight of appraisal management companies and appraisers utilized by PennyMac and its clients.
- Undertake miscellaneous duties and projects as assigned by management
Preferred Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of mortgage appraisal experience.
- Prior field experience performing residential property appraisals.
- Current licensing or certification to perform residential appraisals. Multi-state license is a plus.
- Functional Knowledge of Appraisal Independence Requirements & functional understanding of USPAP regulations.
- Knowledge of and proficiency in utilizing the most up to date on-line resources to perform property valuations.
- Functional knowledge of state and federal agency mortgage loan guidelines and regulations as they relate to appraisals.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Leadership and management skills.
