Summary: Repairs and maintains Material Handling, Extrusion, Thermal forming and Trim Press equipment must have electrical and mechanical

knowledge, ability to perform diagnostics, testing and repairs on electrical components.

 Essential Duties and Responsibilities


Ø Perform planned electrical/Mechanical maintenance on all equipment and machinery for the PET, PP, and PLA process to ensure the integrity of Production equipment.

Ø Diagnose, troubleshoot and repair/maintain all equipment and machinery for the PET, PP, and PLA process including PM’s, Automation equipment, Crystallizers and Dryers.

Ø Ability to use equipment manuals to identify spare parts needed.

Ø Completes paperwork accurately and in a timely manner.

Ø Responsible for housekeeping in area(s) of responsibility to ensure a safe, clean and neat work environment.


SPECIFIC SKILLS & EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:


Ø Must be knowledgeable in pneumatics, blue print/schematic reading (mechanical/electrical), welding, using shop equipment, and fabrication. 

Ø Must possess an extensive electrical background with experience in troubleshooting and must be familiar with AC and DC drives and PLC’s., servo motors and encoders, able to solve temperature problems on heating processes such as thermal couples, temperature controllers, solid state relays and heating elements, capable of diagnosing and solving pressure problems on Dynisco sensing devices and pressure readout meters.

Ø Strong knowledge and experience with Lyle, Brown and TSL thermoformers a plus


QUALIFICATIONS:

Ø Must be computer literate.

Ø Must have own tools and be flexible to work overtime.

Ø Position requires a HS Diploma or GED and 3-5 years related experience.

Ø Demonstrated problem solving and electrical and mechanical skills are also required.

Ø Must have good written and verbal communication skills and be able to effectively communicate with people at all levels within the organization.

Ø Must have the ability to perform basic mathematical operations such as addition, subtraction, multiplication and division.

Ø Ability to work with others effectively as a part of a team is essential.
