 Description
Mission
The mission of a Senior Account Manager, HMS is to build and maintain excellent relationships with the decision makers and day-to-day client contacts, provide direction on health promotion strategies, program management and financial performance while coordinating the delivery of Health Management Services to the client.

Essential Functions

  • Develop and maintain effective and productive relationships with clients, prospects and vendors, including:
  • Maintaining regular contact and developing strong relationships with key decision makers within designated clients, including Human Resources VPs, Directors, Benefit Managers and key Finance team members
  • Managing, confirming and implementing HMS services and compensation agreements with clients
  • Ensuring client service, renewal and timing standards are met or exceeded
  • Support vendor evaluation, invoicing, deliverables, and relationship management
  • Work with sales staff and account management teams on HMS implementation for new clients, including:
  • Providing direction on HMS program design, strategy, incentives and communications as part of new client implementation
  • Developing a thorough understanding of internal processes, team member responsibilities and internal timelines so services can be accurately and effectively presented to the client
  • Create, develop and implement health promotion strategy and programs that align with organizational goals and objectives
  • Coordinating activities including health fairs, biometric screenings and influenza immunization
  • Meeting with clients and key contacts (at minimum) quarterly to review plan performance and service levels
  • Conducting employee and/or manager surveys with appropriate reporting back to the client
  • Develop client communication activities for employees and health plan members through text, posters, newsletters and other devices and channels
  • Delivering robust reporting to clients that demonstrates the value of the HMS services they purchase
    • Maintain industry knowledge and expertise by proactively engaging in certification and educational opportunities offered by organizations such as WELCOA and others supported by Precept.

 Requirements

       

Minimum Qualifications (KSAs: Knowledge, Skills and Abilities)

  • Bachelors degree required or combination of applicable experience and education
  • Minimum five (5) years working in health promotion and/or employee benefits industries
  • Must be able to communicate solutions to complex employee health promotion challenges to employers/clients in a manner that can be easily understood and assessed by decision makers
  • Expertise in employee benefit plan strategy, design, administration, funding, regulation, compliance, communication and industry trends
  • Demonstrated understanding of general business and financial concepts and principles, relating benefit strategies to broader business and HR objectives
  • Excellent written and oral communication, interpersonal and relational skills, with the ability to quickly develop relationships of trust and confidence with a variety of people and personalities, at all levels within an organization
  • Self-motivated with the ability to effectively multi-task and work collaboratively in a fast-paced, team environment
  • Strong active listening skills with the ability to ask thoughtful and probing questions to determine client needs
  • Ability to make clear, logical decisions based on facts, taking into consideration the big picture, long and short term effects, and exercising sound judgment when handling complaints, confidential and sensitive issues
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver consistent positive results through influencing, coordinating and managing the efforts of others
  • Ability to travel hours at a time both in cars and by other modes of transportation
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, Access and PowerPoint, with working knowledge of Publisher and MS Project
  • Able to carry materials weighing 30 lbs
