We are currently recruiting for a Chief Operating Officer (COO) for our Temecula Valley Hospital, located in Temecula, CA.  Temecula Valley Hospital, projected to open in the Summer of 2013, will have all private rooms and a 20-bed intensive care unit (ICU), as well as six high-tech surgical suites, digital imaging and an advanced electronic clinical information system. A relatively new feature at the hospital will be a Consolidated Treatment 
Unit – a uniquely designed outpatient center where outpatients can prepare for procedures and the emergency department can expand according to need. When it opens, Temecula Valley Hospital will offer a wide range of medical services to area residents.

Among the services planned for the new hospital are:
  • General medicine including: endocrinology, infectious disease/epidemiology and neurology
  • Cardiology
  • Orthopedic surgery
  • General surgery
  • Pulmonology
  • Nephrology/urology


Position Summary:

As a Chief Operation Officer,Temecula Valley Hospital, you will provide day-to-day operations for the healthcare system. You will implement the strategy of CEO and manage assigned departments efficiently and effectively to maximize quality of services and profits of the system.
 RequirementsJob Requirements:
  • Five years of hospital management/operations experience with a minimum of two to three years as a senior level manager is required.
  • Bachelor’s degree required, Master’s degree strongly preferred in Business, Health Administration or other closely related field
  • Must be organized and be able to manage multiple diverse departments.
  • Must be detail oriented, focus on nuances of multiple hospital operations, and be able to manage communication with employees and vendors.
  • Must be able to motivate, inspire, and communicate with individuals and groups.
  • Knowledge of the financial implications of decisions including budgeting and forecasting is required.
